This original antique seascape oil painting, from around 1900, shows a rocky shoreline, a small rowing boat and distant ships under a clear sky. The movement of the sea and the open horizon give the painting a calm, timeless look.

The seascape comes in a warm gold-painted frame that beautifully complements the blue-green water and earthy coastal tones. The gold frame gives it a classic look and makes the painting ready to hang. 

The painting is signed Chr. Blache in the lower corner by the artist Christian Blache (1838–1920). Blache was a Danish marine painter well known for his coastal scenes and paintings of ships at sea.
